HIRING: Engineering Project Manager - Energy Engineering Focus (4+ Years Experience)

We’re seeking a technically skilled Program Manager with a strong engineering background to lead impactful energy efficiency initiatives, particularly in underserved communities.
What You’ll Do
As the Project Manager, you’ll be the technical lead and strategic driver of a comprehensive energy efficiency program. You’ll oversee engineering workflows, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure high-performance delivery across all phases of the program.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Leading the full program lifecycle — from technical scoping and subcontractor coordination to engineering review, inspection, and performance reporting.
+ Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technical staff while ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.
+ Designing and implementing engineering strategies to optimize building performance and energy savings.
+ Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders to integrate innovative technologies and strengthen program outcomes.
+ Overseeing project management activities including QA/QC, energy modeling, and M&V (Measurement & Verification).
+ Using data analytics to refine forecasting, financial tracking, and operational efficiency.
+ Troubleshooting technical issues and proactively identifying engineering solutions to avoid delays.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a mission-driven leader with a strong technical foundation in energy engineering and a passion for sustainability.
The ideal candidate has:
+ Deep knowledge of building science, HVAC systems, energy modeling, and utility incentive programs.
+ Experience with low-to-moderate income (LMI) energy programs and multifamily retrofits.
+ Strong communication skills, including technical presentations and client engagement.
+ Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
+ Strategic thinking and business acumen to align technical solutions with program goals.
+ Adaptability in dynamic environments and a commitment to continuous learning.
iQualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering (or related field).
+ Master’s degree and certifications (PE, CEM, BPI, LEED AP) are a strong advantage.
+ Minimum 4 years of experience in energy engineering, building performance, or related technical program management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
