    What You'll Do

     

    The Manager, Benefits Accounting role provides team and technical leadership for complex operational and technical activities within the Corporate Accounting Family. This role manages accounting policies and financial close processes for expenses related to compensation and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements. In addition to strong accountancy, the position requires strong project management, people leadership, communication, and analytical skills. The role serves as a key contributor to the broader finance transformation efforts at Robert Half.

     

    + Review the team’s deliverables relating to the financial close and quarterly reporting.

    + Validate multiple subledgers to general ledger integrations and reconcile related activities and balances.

    + Perform reserve analyses on various employee benefit programs.

    + Record journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

    + Prepare internal and external reporting schedules.

    + Support internal and external audit requests.

    + Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, and IT to operationalize the accounting of new employee compensation and benefit programs.

    + Lead accounting close optimization and other process improvement efforts.

    + Provide decision support for business leaders through analysis of financial data, technical accounting research, and process design.

    + Mentor team and promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee development.

    What You'll Need

    + CPA required (passed exams pending licensure acceptable)

    + 7+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry experience

    + Strong working knowledge of technical accounting and SOX compliance (including COSO framework)

    + Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel; Experience with MS Copilot a plus

    + Proficient in financial ERP with subledger architecture and/or complex ERP ecosystem

    + Effective people leadership skills, including demonstrated interest in building culture, team development, and driving improvements

    + Excellent planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

    + Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks

     

    The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

     

    $98,000.00 - $150,000.00
