Job Title: Flavor Compounding TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Flavor Compounding Technician with expertise in blending, mixing, and compounding chemicals and batch making. The role involves following production formulas, ensuring accurate labeling and recording, and coordinating with the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
+ Pull raw materials and products from the warehouse to fill orders.
+ Compound flavors, make blends, and emulsions.
+ Maintain accurate production records.
+ Coordinate daily with the Production Manager to adhere to production and order schedules.
+ Follow good manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
+ Retrieve and return materials throughout the warehouse for production.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in compounding, blending, and batch manufacturing within a flavor, chemical, food, or beverage plant.
+ Ability to lift, move, and carry liquid pails up to 50+ pounds and hand roll 600-pound drums onto a drum cart.
+ Proactive, efficient, accurate, and organized.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Team player with the ability to work independently.
+ Ability to multi-task effectively.
+ Basic skills in math, reading, and writing.
+ Basic computer knowledge.
+ High school diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of good manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and safety protocols.
+ Experience working in environments with exposure to odors and chemicals.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment within a small company of 14 people. The workplace may have strong scents due to the creation of flavors. Employees are treated like family in this small, family-owned company.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
