Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, contributing to the optimization and expansion of our production capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work across various processes, from raw material handling to final product delivery, providing valuable experience in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with project management to support existing production lines, installations, new launches, and special/capital projects.

+ Act as a liaison between the Production Engineering and Production Department.

+ Execute engineering strategies and oversee new product launches.

+ Develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with site management teams and oversee their implementation.

+ Drive continuous improvements throughout the plant.

+ Utilize Solidworks and CAD for design and process improvements.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of manufacturing experience or strong co-op/internship experience.

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology, or 5+ years of automotive experience without an engineering degree.

+ Proficiency in Solidworks.

+ Experience in PLC programming.

+ Knowledge of automotive manufacturing engineering.

+ Robotics troubleshooting skills.

+ Expertise in continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Background in process improvement, mechanical and electrical engineering.

+ Familiarity with automotive project management and industrial engineering.

+ Experience with HMI, PLC programming, Allen-Bradley, tooling, and machining.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily on a 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed. Expect to spend 80% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 20% in the office, often receiving calls to assist with various lines. The work environment is fast-paced and not temperature controlled, requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. You may be required to work 40-60 hours per week, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis, and travel domestically and internationally up to 5% as needed. Walking 10,000+ steps daily is common due to the large plant size. Steel-toed boots are mandatory on the manufacturing floor.

This is a Contract position based out of Berea, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
