    Job Title: Software Developer

    Job Description

    As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based applications and technologies. This includes corporate websites and web applications that support and integrate with our products. You will work closely with a team to define, build, and maintain these web applications and sites.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop websites, web pages, and web-based applications as specified in project or product definitions.

    + Design functional user interfaces with the support of senior team members or using existing templates and libraries.

    + Establish and report on site analytics and usage analysis.

    + Design, develop, document, and maintain modular code that integrates with other developers' modules.

    + Maintain version control over code changes using Git.

    + Perform functional testing to ensure code is bug-free, functional, and user-friendly.

    + Determine and implement new web technologies and trends such as responsive design and browser compatibility.

    + Optimize corporate websites for search engine visibility and implement content management tools for marketing staff.

    + Provide limited technical support and troubleshooting for web applications.

    + Expand knowledge of recent developments in web and cloud environments and their impact on end-users.

    + Define requirements and develop core infrastructure for websites and web applications.

    + Extend and build web APIs for external devices and mobile apps.

    + Design functional and professional user interfaces with sound design principles.

    + Design or extend basic database structures based on project requirements.

    + Maintain a standardized development environment utilizing containers like Custom Docker Images.

    + Write unit tests for new features and projects where applicable.

    + Manage web projects and collaborate to define server needs.

    + Manage app deployment with CI/CD processes such as Gitlab pipelines.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

    + Must have 3+ years of relevant experience with Vue.js and Laravel

    + Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.

    + Experience with database design, ACID principles, and writing queries for web integration.

    + Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.

    + Familiarity with popular frameworks and libraries like Laravel, Vue, Tailwind, CodeIgniter, Bootstrap, JQuery.

    + Proficiency with IDEs and package managers such as Composer and NPM.

    + Skill in building complex web apps with dynamic elements, API integration, authentication, and multi-database connections.

    + Ability to write clear documentation and maintain full-stack environments such as LAMP.

    + Experience in front-end frameworks like Vue, React, and Angular.

    + Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to deliver functional, user-friendly interfaces.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Basic knowledge of containers, CLI/shell scripting (Linux), cloud services, and virtual machines.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is 100% remote, working within a team of four full-time developers, one intern, and a manager.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Wooster, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
