Job Title: Construction Manager Job Description
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing new builds, renovations, and expansions of Fulfillment Centers across the United States. This role requires effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the construction of new builds, renovations, and expansions of Fulfillment Centers.
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
+ Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
+ Oversee the project management process from design phase through implementation and operation.
+ Utilize AutoCAD, BIM, and scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project for project planning and execution.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field.
+ 7+ years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
+ 7+ years of project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation.
+ 7+ years of experience in negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
+ Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in at least two disciplines within the construction industry, such as General Contracting, Owner’s Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design.
+ Proven success in communicating project requirements to various audiences.
+ Experience in facilities management or similar roles, including planning, design review, implementation, and project management/control of new structures and existing buildings.
+ Program management of concurrent projects.
+ Project Management accreditation (PMP® or similar).
Work Environment
The role involves heavy travel to job sites. Typically, team members fly out early in the week to visit job sites for a couple of days and then return home on Thursday or Friday. All travel expenses are covered. This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
