Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Fletcher, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, ranging from general ledger management to supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Manage general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions by ensuring proper coding, posting, and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations while addressing audit requests as needed.
• Contribute to the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support for financial audits and assist in gathering necessary documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and practices to maintain accuracy in reporting. Requirements
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of accounting experience, including internships or entry-level positions.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to new challenges.
• Eagerness to learn and grow professionally while taking on increasing responsibilities
