    Quality Control Technician

    Job Description

    Perform laboratory testing and related quality control activities using a variety of instruments to ensure compliance with applicable SOPs and cGMPs. Provide timely testing and notify management of any aberrant occurrence that may negatively impact manufactured or marketed products. Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance to Safety/Quality guidelines and SOPs. Maintain the department premises and equipment, and ensure all necessary training is completed for assigned tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely performance of quality tasks, attend mandatory trainings, assist with investigations, and contribute to employee training and development.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform laboratory testing using instruments such as Analytical Balance, pH meter, automatic pipettes, FTIR, UV-Vis, Voltammeter, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Flame AA, TOC, and Conductivity meter.

    + Ensure compliance with applicable SOPs and cGMPs.

    + Notify management of any potential negative impact occurrences.

    + Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.

    + Maintain department premises and equipment.

    + Complete necessary training for assigned tasks.

    + Collaborate with team members for timely performance of tasks.

    + Attend mandatory site regulatory trainings.

    + Assist with investigations by providing testing results.

    + Assist in the training and development of employees.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge in chemistry, laboratory, biology, and biochemistry.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    + Flexibility and teamwork skills.

    + Ability to adjust to changing priorities and schedules.

    + High level of energy and regular attendance.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 2 years of college-level science or an AS Degree in Science.

    + BS Degree in Science preferred.

    + Exposure to laboratory instruments such as Analytical Balance, pH meter, automatic pipettes, FTIR, UV-Vis, Voltammeter, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Flame AA, TOC, and Conductivity meter.

    Work Environment

    Work the night shift from Saturday to Tuesday, 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM, in a plant producing radioactive materials. Participate in safety programs to minimize exposure levels. Responsibilities include lifting up to 70 pounds and performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. Must be willing to wear various personal protective equipment. Enjoy benefits such as shift differential compensation, holiday pay, and a schedule that provides longer breaks during the week.     Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, Missouri.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
