Description We are looking for a skilled Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business insights and supporting organizational goals through detailed financial evaluations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic business decisions.

• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast business performance and evaluate scenarios.

• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Create and deliver ad hoc financial reports to address specific business needs and inquiries.

• Utilize data mining techniques to extract and analyze large datasets for actionable insights.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with audit requirements, including Single Audits for non-profit entities.

• Monitor financial metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding organizational performance.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial insights and recommendations.

• Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.

• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in alignment with regulatory standards. Requirements • Proven experience in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and scenario planning techniques.

• Expertise in conducting variance analysis and identifying areas for improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to perform ad hoc financial reporting based on business needs.

• Familiarity with data mining techniques and tools for extracting and analyzing large datasets.

• Knowledge of audit processes, including Single Audits for non-profit organizations.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and other data analysis platforms.
