Helena Public Schools is accepting applications for a skilled and dependable Plumber. This position performs installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across multiple district facilities to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations for students, staff, and the community.
Some of what you will do:
+ Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment across district facilities.
+ Inspect and diagnose plumbing issues and recommend corrective action.
+ Ensure all work complied with building codes, safety standards, and district policies.
+ Collaborate with the maintenance team to support facility needs and respond to emergencies.
+ Maintain accurate records of work performed, supplies used, and preventative maintenance schedules.
+ Respond to service calls promptly to minimize disruption to school operations.
+ Assist in planning and executing long-term plumbing maintenance and improvement projects.
To become part of this dedicated team, you need:
+ Completion of post-secondary technical, trades, or apprenticeship program.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a multiple facility environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the district.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing systems, safety protocols, and application codes and regulations.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team to support district facilities.
The successful candidate must frequently lift and/or move up 50 pounds such as a toolbox. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 90 pounds, such as motors. The employee may sometimes push/pull items such as tables, scaffolds, and air compressors.
The current entry level salary is $38.76 per hour. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
