    We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement processes and maintain effective supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will utilize MRP logic and forecasts to ensure the efficient procurement of raw materials and services while maximizing inventory turnover.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize MRP logic and forecasts for the procurement of raw materials, subcontracted services, semi-finished goods, and indirect items.

    + Manage inventory to maximize turnover while avoiding stock-outs.

    + Oversee Purchase Orders from issuance to closure, resolving blocked invoices and discrepancies.

    + Provide regular forecasts to suppliers.

    + Assist with the selection and qualification of suppliers based on commercial and technical capability.

    + Establish effective supplier relationships to mitigate supply chain risks.

    + Collaborate with Commodity/Purchasing Managers to enhance supply chain processes.

    + Support management in completing supplier audits and scorecards.

    + Ensure suppliers adhere to defined Supplier Expectations.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

    + Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience or extensive internship with direct buying responsibility.

    + Experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

    + Proficiency in managing multiple priorities.

    + Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Good computer skills are required.

    + Knowledge of MRP/SAP is a plus.

    + APICS certification is beneficial.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a typical office environment with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. A flexible 30-minute lunch option is available, allowing for an early departure. This role starts as a contract position to cover gaps due to medical leave and transitions, with the potential for a full-time direct buyer vacancy based on performance.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
