    A TEKsystems client in downtown Columbia, SC would like to bring on a Senior Service Desk member on a 6 mo C2H opportunity. This person would join a team of 5 people (1 manager, 1 asst. manager, and 3 service desk members) to serve as the first point of contact for end users. They are ideally looking for someone who has been in an IT Support role for 5+ years and has aspirations to grow into a leadership role.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    --Provide professional customer service following ITIL best practices. Provide advanced desktop troubleshooting support for common desktop applications such as those found in Microsoft products: Word, Excel Outlook, Visio, Project, Microsoft TEAMS, One-Note as well Internet browser software. Troubleshooting support for client specific software.

     

    --Leverage FreshDesk Ticketing system to record support requests, ensure timely closure of work orders, and provide real time alerting and periodic analysis and reporting of request statistics.

     

    --Provide comprehensive software and technology training to legislative members and staff.

     

    --Evaluate and test for usability new releases of enterprise software.

     

    --Works to continually improve business processes and streamline operational efficiency.

    Top Skills' Details

    1. STRONG Microsoft Office Product experience (This person will be taking tickets around excel, word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. regarding troubleshooting/functionality)*

    2. 5+ years of IT support experience, preferably over the phone rather than hardware

    3. An Associates or Bachelor's Degree is required

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Must have Associates or Bachelors or pursuing

     

    Must be 100% on-site M-F, 8am-5pm

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.03 - $31.25/hr.
