    Job Title: Mainframe Assembler

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Assembler to design, develop, implement, and maintain innovative IT solutions that support key business initiatives and align with corporate technology strategies. This role involves enhancing existing systems and building new applications within a high-performance mainframe environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.

    + Design and develop new applications and enhancements to existing systems on the IBM System Z platform.

    + Maintain and support mission-critical applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

    + Conduct thorough testing and debugging using tools such as Intertest in both batch and CICS environments.

    + Utilize JCL, ISPF, SDSF, and VSAM for job control, file management, and system interaction.

    + Perform program assembly and link editing as part of the deployment process.

    + Manage source code and version control using ChangeMan or similar library management tools.

    + Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum 6 years of recent and hands-on experience with Assembler programming on IBM System Z.

    + Minimum 6 years of experience with CICS application programming and the CICS API.

    + Minimum 6 years of experience with COBOL development on System Z.

    + Strong proficiency in Intertest for debugging and testing in both batch and CICS environments.

    + Solid experience with JCL, ISPF, SDSF, and VSAM.

    + Familiarity with assembling and link editing programs in a mainframe environment.

    + Experience with ChangeMan or equivalent source code management tools.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    + Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus.
