Our client, a respected manufacturer in the Medical Device industry, is seeking an **experienced Advanced CNC Machinist with strong programming skills** to join their 2nd Shift Milling Department. This role blends hands-on machining with CNC programming/editing, offering opportunities to work on cutting-edge medical device components with precision and innovation.
Schedule:** **Direct Hire | Mon–Thurs, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay:** **$30 – $40/hour
Key Responsibilities
+ **Set up, program, and operate** multi-axis CNC milling machines (Kitamura, Mazak, Haas, Robodrill).
+ Read and interpret blueprints with advanced knowledge of GD&T.
+ **Utilize MasterCAM and G-code programming/editing** to assist in setup, optimize toolpaths, and make program adjustments.
+ Perform machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality and tolerances.
+ Inspect parts using precision measurement tools to verify conformance to specifications.
+ Troubleshoot machining/programming issues and make proactive adjustments to minimize downtime.
+ Collaborate closely with engineers and programmers to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tool changes, and inspection results.
+ Perform preventive maintenance and uphold 5S/workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of CNC machining experience with a strong background in milling operations.
+ Proven ability to **independently set up and program CNC milling machines** .
+ Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T principles.
+ Skilled in **MasterCAM and general G-code programming/editing** .
+ Hands-on experience with inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
Preferred Experience (a plus)
+ Exposure to lathe/mill turn (Mazak Integrex i-150, GibbsCAM).
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
