Volunteer Program Coordinator
Named by the Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last three years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Volunteer Program Coordinator to join its dynamic Volunteer Program Department. The Volunteer Program provides meaningful care and compassion to hospice and palliative patients and delivers important administrative support in our office. This is a hybrid position.
Job Responsibilities :
The Volunteer Coordinator helps oversee all aspects of the Volunteer Program at Good Shepherd Community Care, including recruitment and retention, training, record maintenance, and recognition of volunteers. Ensures compliance with the level of volunteer service required by regulations.
Schedule and Weekly Hours:
Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Education, Skills and Experience :
+ College Degree or equivalent experience preferred
+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness are essential
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Ability to multitask
+ Fluency in Russian, Spanish, or Chinese is a plus.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficiency in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
+ Demonstrated computer skills (comfort creating and working with spreadsheets)

Pay Range:
$47,000-$53,000. This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.
