             Residential Manager Type of Position Full time Search Location(s) Bronx, NY Job Brief The Residential Manager provides general oversight and supervision of the operations and activities of the participant’s residential unit. Provides direct supervision to direct care staff providing services and is directly responsible for the overall care Shift Worked: 12pm - 8pm Weekly Hours: 40 FLSA Status: Exempt Pay range: $65,000.00 1. Oversee the day-to-day operation of residential facility 2. On call 24-hours seven days a week and must conduct random (overnight) spot checks and required to work one day on a weekend per month 3. Provide complete 24-hour coverage, maintain and post scheduled work assignments/shift schedules and adjust such assignments based on staff availability, abilities of staff and particular requirements of residents 4. Conduct frequent walk through of designated residence to ensure it is kept clean, neat, healthy and safe 5. Supervise the maintenance, cleaning and proper functioning of the residence, furnishings, and appliance and obtain repairs/replacements as needed 6. Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the development and evaluation of each resident individualized plan of care 7. Review all plans and summaries and make sure LOCs (levels of Care) Res Habs and POP are up to date 8. Review daily logs make sure plans of protective oversight are updated annually and posted in residence 9. Weekly review meeting of medication inventory with medical assistant and nurse 10. Shop for participants (clothing, personal items, adaptive and habilitation equipment, etc.) and oversee inventory of household supplies and food items 11. Maintain and account for each resident’s personal allowance, bankbook, deposits, withdrawals, and fiscal records 12. Dispense and account for weekly petty cash 13. Recommend the hiring and termination of all assistants, direct care and housekeeping staff with appropriate documentation 14. Train, supervise, and evaluate all assistants, direct care and housekeeping staff 15. Oversee the actions conducted by staff to ensure that they are in a manner that prevents abuse 16. Assures that all staff are coordinating their efforts in order to complete such routine household tasks as laundry, menu preparation, shopping, cooking, etc. with goal of increasing independence of residents in performing these functions 17. Supervise DSPs implementation and maintenance of training programming 18. Schedule staff and provides/arranges transportation of residents to and from appointments, recreational or social programs, work, etc. as required 19. Communicate staff performance, specific deficiencies to Residential Director and Human Resources 20. Follow appropriate procedure relative to the reporting of incidents as per OPWDD 624 regulations and summon police, fire, ambulance or other emergency personnel if situation warrants it. 21. Review, approve, and submit timesheets of all staff for designated residence 22. Conduct, observe, and maintain records of fire drills, evacuations and ensure certificate of fitness is in residence. 23. Provide orientation/in-service of all staff and ensure that staff receive required trainings and updates 24. Conducts monthly staff meetings with all staff or as needed 25. Keep track of van registrations and inspections and ensure they are operated safely and properly maintained 26. Must be able to perform SCIP-R physical intervention techniques (i.e., core techniques; specialized and restrictive) 27. Other related tasks that may be assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS Qualifications/Requirements 1. Excellent written & oral communication skills 2. Ability to interface with multi-level, multi ethnic personnel 3. Well organized, capable of coordinating a variety of assignments and responsibilities 4. Computer Literate 5. Valid driver's license Education 1. Bachelor’s degree in human or social services or two (2) years of experience working with MR/DD individuals preferred 2. Or Associates Degree plus 3 years direct service experience in the Human or Social Services field Training/Certification 1. SCIP-R 2. CPR/First Aid 3. AMAP
