• Senior Unified Communications Engineer

    ManTech (Camp Springs, MD)


    **MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Unified Communications Engineer** to join our team in **Camp Springs, MD** . This is a hybrid position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide expertise in Unified Communications (IM, Teaming/Webinars, Video Teleconferencing, Video Streaming, Video Portals, Video on Demand, Digital Signage) over large geographically dispersed networks.

    + Act as the WAN/Cloud subject matter expert, interfacing with other engineering teams to facilitate implementation, operations, maintenance, and enhancement of UC services.

    + Serve as the principal interface with security, database, and application operations, engineering, and implementation services, ensuring compliance with policies, processes, and security protections.

    + Possess expert knowledge of modern Cloud service implementations, including the setup and deployment of VM-based UC systems.

    + Work on issues related to performance management, implementation engineering, fault isolation, and troubleshooting UC systems that traverse WAN/Cloud/Managed Services.

    + Travel to field sites as necessary for surveys and UC installations not supported by other teams.

    + Create firewall/ACL rule requests for system changes, implementations, and deployments.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of relevant UC experience and CTS Certification

    + Expertise in Avaya Aura and One-X platforms, Polycom VTC systems Teams services, Cisco Routing and Switching, Firewalls, Cisco UC systems (Call Manager, Meeting Server, TMS and Expressways).

    + Expert level skills in implementing Quality of Service (QoS) in large enterprise networks.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Cisco CCNP Collaboration

    + CTS-D Certification

    + CTS-I Certification

    Clearance Requirement:

    + Must be able to pass USCIS background investigation (public trust)

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

    + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

    + The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
