+ Provide support to Program Management, Contracting, or Engineering personnel in the areas of: integrated program scheduling, configuration management, finance and accounting, contracting, data analyses, database development or manipulation, preparation of technical/program reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistance
+ Plan/oversee test or project events as assigned by Program Manager or Engineering supervisor, report status and results
+ Interface with Quality, Engineering, Management and Manufacturing for the creation of Travelers and Work Instructions
+ Plan/oversee test or project events as assigned by the Quality Manager, reports status and results
+ Other duties as assigned
Managerial Duties:
+ Execute personnel-related activities including:
Creating realistic and accurate job descriptions for your team
o Directing employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job description
o Manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere; work to resolve any conflicts
o Conduct ongoing feedback – both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling for improvement if necessary
o Advise management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awards
o Manage accuracy of employee timecards
+ Ensure employees receive and perform any required training for both position and company needs
+ Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processes
+ Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate – goals/changes/updates/news
+ Co-ordinate with Director and/or VP on corporate matters
+ Other manager duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training (both required and desired):
+ Bachelor’s Degree in management or other relevant discipline required
Experience:
+ 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area
+ Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings
+ Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing processes with the necessary materials, tooling, and equipment
+ Experience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement
+ AS9100 Interpretation, application, and auditing experience
+ Experience performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
+ Extensive experience with chairing Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board activities
+ Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes that optimize program execution while driving out risk.
+ Experience working with Government customers and DCMA/USAF QAE (Quality Assurance Evaluator) entities
+ Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment and Property
+ Experience in establishing Performance Metrics and perform the required analysis to identify process improvements
+ Experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), both from the Process and Design perspectives
Security:
+ Must be a US citizen
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and use of computer screens
+ Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements using a keyboard, mouse, and handwriting
+ Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
