Position Overview

We are seeking acompassionate and skilled School Counselor /School Mental Health Worker to support elementary students (K–5) innavigating emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. This role is essentialin fostering a safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy school environment.

You will provideindividual and group counseling, collaborate with families and staff, and helpstudents build coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and resilience.You’ll also assist in connecting students to community-based mental health servicesand contribute to school-wide wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

+ Provide direct counseling services to students

+ Facilitate group sessions focused on social-emotional development

+ Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student well-being

+ Refer students to external mental health resources when needed

+ Participate in the development and implementation of school-wide mental health programs

Minimum Requirements

+ Licensing/Certification per state, facility, or contract guidelines

+ Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or related Human Development field

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)

+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

+ Adherence to professional standards of practice
