Job Summary
As a NetApp Solutions Engineer (SE), you will utilize your technical expertise and our intelligent data infrastructure portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business outcomes. Working as an SE dedicated to US Public Sector - Federal Civilian Named accounts, you will be assigned to a specific team, focusing on expanding our presence within existing clients.
As a technical expert for the team, your responsibilities will include:
+ Collaborating with client executives to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to intelligent data infrastructure solutions.
+ Advising on the engagement and utilization of a broader range of NetApp technical resources.
+ Offering technical expertise on NetApp's intelligent data infrastructure products and solutions, including creating architectural designs and configuration of systems.
+ Solution selling includes working closely with customers to understand their needs (whether on-premise, hybrid, or in the cloud) and designing the appropriate solution to meet their needs.
+ Attending conferences, meeting with customers, partners/systems integrators, and account teams in person and virtually.
You:
+ Understand the challenges our customers face and craft technology solutions to address them.
+ Use excellent communication skills to articulate the benefits of NetApp in presentations, demonstrations, and dialog with customers and our partners.
+ Create designs/architectures for the solutions that your customers need – oftentimes combining NetApp products with those of our technology alliance partners.
+ Help customers prove out or test technology solutions in their environment.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at various levels and business units of an organization and be able to articulate the value of a NetApp solution to these different groups
Job Requirements
+ Aptitude for understanding how NetApp capabilities and solutions solve business problems
+ Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills and the ability to extrapolate use case requirements to establish success criteria
+ Proven experience architecting and/or operating infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications.
+ Understanding of how NetApp Intelligent Data Infrastructure solutions integrate into Artificial Intelligence, DevSecOps, and/or orchestration support environment.
+ Building on-premises or hybrid cloud
+ **Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, Denver/Boulder Metro Area, TX, SC or FL location required. Travel to other locations (outside of the DMV area) is estimated at 40%** .
Education
+ Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
+ Experience that demonstrates a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
+ Successful track record of selling into the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community required.
+ US Citizenship Required; Government clearance(s) preferred.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 193,800 - 250,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
