    Supervisor Surgical Technician, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WA

     

    Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Supv-Surgical Technologists provides patient care supervision and education of the Surgical Technologists ensuring comprehensive perioperative services and quality patient care. The Supervisor provides management of the Surgical Technologist team as well as day-to-day immediate management of supplies and equipment operations. This allows the Nurse Manager the opportunity to focus on long-term planning, budget, goals, outcomes, decision-making and other higher-level management functions. This position also assists with quality review, performance management, and customer service of the overall department and/or surgical team. The scope and span of control for the Supervisor may include more than one unit and/or clinical specialty and demonstrates a collaborative intent.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Associate's Degree Surgical Technologist. And

    + Coursework/Training Graduate of an approved Surgical Technology Program. And

    + Upon hire: Washington Surgical Technologist Registration.

    + Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

    + 3 years Recent Operating room experience (within the last 7 years).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 1 year Supervisory experience.
