    At the BAE Aerospace Manufacturing Center (AMC) location in Westminster, CO, we develop and manufacture state of the art tactical technologies including low profile antennas, electronic warfare platforms, electro-optical laser imaging, and phased arrays. Technological developments are driving rapid expansion of our manufacturing capabilities to support customer demands.     You will get to work with state-of-the-art military, space, and tactical equipment. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and allows you to contribute to impactful projects with exciting missions. Working alongside highly skilled people including planners, engineers, and technicians where there is space to learn and grow. This position is intended to provide cross-functional support across the Manufacturing Process Centers in Westminster. The primary assignment will be in the Autoclave work center on second shift; however, cross-training and flexing to the other work centers will be a core responsibility of this position. You ll be an important and integral part of the team driving operational excellence.

     

    The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

     

    **What You'll Do** :

    + Ensure full compliance to industry, environmental, health and safety standards.

    + Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to determine bonding requirements.

    + Perform standard autoclave processes such as preparing and bagging assemblies, operating vessels, and unbagging assemblies.

    + Apply professionally accepted manufacturing engineering techniques, practices, and procedures to our environment.

    + Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective and efficient processes.

    + Utilize innovative and creative problem-solving skills as well as efficient and timely communication.

    + Assist in the maintenance, preventative maintenance, and operation of lab equipment.

    + Initiate emergency procedures in case of power failure; recognize safety hazards, including hazardous materials, and pursue corrective action when necessary.

    + Apply basic computer skills to input and access data via computer interface.

    + Support other Manufacturing Shops and Service Centers including, but not limited to: Paint Shop, Printed Circuit Work Center and Adhesive Cutting Lab.

    + Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

    + Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

    + Perform other duties as necessary.

    **On-Site Work Environment** : This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

    **Working Conditions** :

    + Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.

    + May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.

    + May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

    A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $39219 - $62751

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
