The Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3), Vault Modernization Program (VMP), modernizes vaults at various locations worldwide, addressing issues such as vault-unlock codes, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, and maintenance capabilities.
Key objectives of the project include developing a Vault Unlock Management System (VUMS), designing a Vault Motion Control System (VMCS), and implementing a Maintenance Data Network System (MDNS) to achieve NSA Certification and Nuclear Certification.

The Role:
The Engineer Senior Principle - Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading the systems engineering effort for the VMP, ensuring that the system meets all requirements and is properly integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement systems engineering plans, procedures, and standards, including those related to NSA Certification and Nuclear Certification
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and meet systems engineering requirements, including those related to VUMS, VMCS, and MDNS
+ Analyze and assess system performance to identify areas for improvement, including those related to cyber-security and nuclear surety
+ Integrate multiple system design solutions in order to meet customer requirements and prevent impact to maintenance capabilities.
+ Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and databases, including those related to Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM)

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor with 8 years of experience or Master with 6 years of experience
+ Progressive experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes.
+ Experience leading system design, integration, and analytical efforts
+ Capable of determining appropriate use of technologies in solving engineering problems
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Experience with systems engineering tools and software, including Cameo and SysML
+ Must be able to obtain Secret (or higher) security clearance
+ Capable of creating required engineering documentation using Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Access
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience in testing, commissioning and validation activities
+ Familiar with Department of Defense programs
+ Project Management Professional Certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
