    There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation s security. The LGM-35A Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

    The Role

    BAE Systems is seeking an operations support lead for the Flight Systems Branch and associated sections at Hill AFB, UT as we deliver a world-class capability for our client and their associated contractors. Work will include a variety of operations, administrative, data collection and management, measuring and monitoring performance, task management, workload planning, process improvement, and updating government systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Assists with development and implementation of branch priorities, schedules, and project plans.

    + Develops, prepares and coordinates organizational and IPT briefings, and information papers for the government.

    + Plans and executes organizational activities for both internal and external agencies.

    + Determines customer requirements and translates these requirements into organizational plans.

    + Analyzes business and technical processes to develop and implement new and modified processes and policies.

    + Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.

    + Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and successful execution.

    + Requirement Management: Work Closely with the customer to understand and document project requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined and achievable within project constraints.

    + Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the acquisition process, conducting thorough risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.

    + Schedule Management: Monitor project progress against Earned Value (EV) Metrics and planned schedules, utilizing EV tools and techniques to identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions to keep the program on schedule.

    + Cost management: Utilize EV principles to manage project expenditures against earned value metrics and allocated budgets, tracking expenses and recommend cost-saving measure to maximize value for the program.

    + Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet the requirement, standards, and customer expectations.

    + Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant DoD Acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures, including FAR and DFARS requirements.

    + Communication: Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, provide updates on project status, milestones achieved, and key decisions to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the program.

    Who You Are

    An experienced Mechanical Engineer/Systems Engineer ready to help lead in a fast-paced environment. You must possess high energy and be comfortable working with changing priorities. A sample of traits required:

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + A bachelor s degree or higher in: Business Administration, Project Management, technical field or equivalent.

    + 7 years of demonstrated experience (5 years with a master s degree) in Project Management in support of defense systems, technology, or research and development activities.

    + Workload planning and collaboration using Jira and Confluence

    + Experience managing mid-sized projects or serving as a key contributor on larger projects.

    + Strong initiative and an ability to organize daily tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

    + Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

    + Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions

    + Adaptability and resilience in managing project complexities and navigating challenges that arise during execution.

    + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards

    + Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and collaboration, to foster teamwork and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

    + Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders through presentations, meeting, or reports.

    + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate alternatives, and make data-driven decisions to drive project success

    + Active U.S. Government Secret clearance

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + ICBM Acquisitions experience

    + ICBM training systems, maintenance, or operations experience

    + Project Management Professional Certification

    + Agile, Earned Value Management, Control Account Management

    + Classified government IT systems

    + Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
