The BAE Systems is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to join its organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Read and work to blueprints.
+ Inspect weldments to various weld codes.
+ Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
+ Process non-conformances for disposition.
+ Provide technical quality support to production and engineering.
+ Perform welding inspections. (VT, MT, PT)
Work Schedule:
+ Flexible, rotating schedule with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
+ Typical schedule: 2 x 10-hour shifts on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and 2 x 10-hour shifts on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
+ Total of 40 hours per week, with a 4/10 schedule
+ Shifts may be adjusted based on business needs, with occasional floating shifts required
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ AWS CWI
+ Inspect weldments to various code requirements
+ High School Diploma with 2 years of experience OR equivalent education/experience in quality/inspection/welding/NDT/etc.
+ Proficient using MS Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
+ Ability to read, interpret and work to blueprints.
+ Working knowledge in GD&T principles and applications.
+ Ability to read and comprehend raw material specifications
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Oracle MRP system experience preferred
+ Proficient with First Article inspection preparations.
+ PFEMAs
+ Writing inspection plans
+ Laser Scanner inspection technology experience preferred
+ GD&T experience preferred
+ Quality Tools knowledge and experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
