    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Senior Storage/Backup Engineer responsible for collaborating with the senior engineer to manage storage and backup environments (on-premises and cloud) efficiently and maintain stability. This team’s main initiative is coming up with a strong Backup strategy as they go through a migration from Dell Unity to Dell PowerScale. This resource must have the ability to communicate effectively with different teams and lead backup and recovery processes for production systems. This will involve configuring storage arrays, troubleshooting NAS/SAN, and resolve backup issues. The compensation range is anywhere from $60-$70/hr and requires to be onsite in Boston 3 days a week.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3+ years of experience working as a Storage/Backup Engineer

     

    - Experience supporting storage and storage security; experience supporting, maintaining and administering storage and backup

     

    - Experience With Data Domain (Data Backup and Recovery Appliance) and Networker (Dell Backup Software)

     

    - Experience with SAN Brocade Switches

     

    - Experience With Dell PowerStore

    - Reliable vehicle for transportation • Networking Background

    • Any VmWare Experience from an integration standpoint

    • Experience working at Dell/EMC
