Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join one of our customers within the Hyperscale Data Center industry. The ideal Electrical Engineer will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems, particularly in testing and construction environments. The ideal candidate will also possess strong practical knowledge (not design-focused), the ability to read and interpret drawings and contract systems, and a client-facing personality with excellent communication skills. This role involves traveling 40–50% of the time, primarily within the United States, and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include supporting data center and substation projects, conducting technical assessments, meeting with stakeholders onsite, writing project reports, and providing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supporting data center and substation project all across the US

- Will perform technical assessments for large scale projects

- Meeting with clients/stakeholders/contractors onsite for project progress

- Write comprehensive reports on projects

- Provide solutions on technical aspects of the builds

- Review drawings, specifications, and designs of projects

Skills and Requirements

- 10 Years experience working as an Electrical Engineer

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems – testing and practical knowledge – not design

- Construction or electrical testing background

- Ability to read drawings and understand contract systems

- Good personality – Most important – needs to be able to talk to clients and be more client facing

- Can travel 40-50% of the time – 95% in the US

- Bachelors Degree in EE - Data Center Experience

- Project Management – does not need a manager though
