• Staff Accountant

    Job Description

    A leading hospital system is looking for a Staff Accountant for their Finance organization. Some of the key responsibilities include:

     

    -Perform daily cash reconciliations for designated bank accounts across multiple facilities, including analysis of reconciling items. Strong Excel proficiency is essential.

     

    -Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts.

     

    -Analyze expense accounts and calculate or estimate accruals for designated facilities.

     

    -Create monthly journal entries for various balance sheet and expense accounts.

     

    -Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and income/expense accounts.

     

    -Compile monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and supporting workpapers.

     

    -Support the preparation of schedules for monthly financial statements and assist with special projects or new initiatives as needed.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting

     

    - 1-3 years of experience

     

    - PC and Excel Knowledge

     

    - Ability to manage to deadlines and changing priorities

     

    - Willingness to learn and ability to think creatively to come up with solutions
