    SUMMARY

    Performs management, operation, and maintenance of sitewide office equipment such as Audio/Visual resources, printers, multifunctional copiers, scanners, color printers and label printers. Also responsible for performing minor electrical and mechanical equipment repairs, conducting long range planning regarding asset utilization, replacement and retirement, and the introduction of new technologies. Additional responsibilities include participation in the development, negotiations, issuance and management of equipment contracts and serving as a Contract Technical Coordinator.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Tech Asset Mgmt Sr (7779) – minimum of 3 years of related experience (Required)

    • Tech Asset Mgmt Spec (7780) – minimum of 5 years of related experience (Required)

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

    • There is no Licensure or Certifications required.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    ASSET MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN:

    Performs the management, operation and maintenance of sitewide office equipment, such as Audio/Visual (AV) resources, printers (including color and label printers), multifunctional copiers, and scanners.

     

    • Performs advanced troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on site printers and AV equipment. Performs machine setups for new equipment. Uses service and parts manuals and internet resources to resolve basic problems.

    • Conducts inventory and performs physical moves of site equipment.

    • Performs data entry in Asset Management Databases to reflect such items as call status.

    • Safeguards self and co-workers by ensuring industry codes, standards and laws, site quality and production standards, manufacturer electrical specifications and fire code specifications are enforced during operation and maintenance of equipment.

    • Adds features/modifications to existing printers and updates/installs hardware drivers. Conducts performance monitor activities using available software tools.

    • Provide support to on-site copier technician in performing various technical and operational duties.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accept Outage position.

    • Accept ERO position and be able to meet the response requirements.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed.

    • Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.

    SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Broad knowledge of the setup, maintenance and repair of copiers/printers, scanners, plotters and other audio/visual equipment.

    ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

    • Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

    • Travel may be required.

    • May be required to carry a phone.

    WORK LOCATION

    • Site – Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
