    Overview

     

    Harper Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team on an exciting Federal KC-46A Hangar military project at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California.

    Responsibilities

    + Prioritize safety in all daily project activities and decision-making.

    + Create, manage, and log Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals efficiently and accurately.

    + Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.

    + Promote sustainable construction practices and support LEED requirements on the project.

    + Maintain detailed project progress photography for documentation and reporting.

    + Collaborate with the Project Manager on purchasing activities including scoping and quantity take-offs.

    + Monitor and coordinate material deliveries to align with project timelines.

    + Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents and project specifications.

    + Facilitate clear and effective communication among all project stakeholders.

    + Manage project close-out activities including warranty letters, guarantees, and final acceptance documentation.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

    + Experience or interest in vertical construction projects, especially military or federal buildings, is highly desirable.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

    + Working knowledge of Procore or similar document control systems.

    + Strong computer and organizational skills.

    Compensation and Benefits

    + Salary Range: $85,000 to $97,000 annually

    + Salary offered will be commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications.
