ATItransformsmetalintomission-criticalcomponentsthatpoweraerospace,defense,energy,andmedicalinnovation.AsaProcess Engineering Intern focused on Melt Process Engineering,you'llsupporttheformulating,primary melting,andfinal melting oftitanium,nickel,andspecialtyalloysplayingadirectroleinhowhigh-value materialsareproduced forhigh-performanceproducts.
You'llcollaboratewithexperiencedengineersandoperatorstoimprovethroughput,reducedefects,anddriveprocessefficiencyonassetssuchasplasma cold hearth furnaces, vacuum arc remelt furnaces, and raw material control systems.
What Youll Work On
Internshipprojectsmayinclude:
+ Analyzingprocess data(melt rate, vacuum level, furnace environment)toidentifyfurnace uptimeimprovementopportunities.
+ Supportingtrialstoimprove raw materials weighout, reduce turnaround time, or evaluate equipment upgrades.
+ Assistinginroot cause analysisofmelt defects,processanomalies,orchemistrydeviations.
+ Evaluatingandimprovingstandard work procedures,includingmaterialhandlingandfurnace control systems.
+ Participatinginmeltingtrialsfornew products or flow path qualifications.
