Join Walmart’s AI Revolution in Last-Mile Delivery

In Walmart’s Last-Mile Delivery team, we’re building intelligent systems that combine real-time data, AI agents, and scalable platforms to power our delivery infrastructure. Spark Driver—our largest last-mile network—now spans all 50 states, reaches over 94% of U.S. households, and plays a pivotal role in Walmart’s eCommerce growth by enabling fast, flexible, and cost-effective fulfillment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a **Sr. Manager of AI Supply Automation** to lead the development of intelligent, data-driven systems that balance driver supply with fulfillment demand—at massive scale. You will build and refine AI-led automation that forecasts supply gaps and autonomously triggers interventions to optimize Spark’s reliability, cost, and coverage.

What You'll Do

+ Develop systems that forecast driver availability and supply gaps at regional and national levels.

+ Design and implement automation that activates supply levers (e.g., pings, positioning, incentives, messaging).

+ Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering and Data Science to scale intelligent decision-making across markets.

+ Collaborate with Field Ops to test supply interventions and evaluate impact.

+ Define and own supply-side KPIs (e.g., coverage rate, supply utilization, incentive ROI).

Basic Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience in supply planning, logistics optimization, product analytics, or applied AI.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into operational impact.

+ Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode).

+ Experience collaborating across product, operations, and technical teams.

+ Effective communicator with an ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, or behavioral segmentation.

+ Background in marketplace logistics, gig economy, or AI-based operational systems.

+ Experience designing and measuring the impact of automated interventions at scale.

+ Familiarity with agentic system design and real-time system feedback loops.

+ Ability to drive iterative thinking in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3: 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
