Job Description
The Balance Sheet Market Execution Middle Office (BMSE MO) Financial Analyst role supports our front office BSME team in their execution and maintenance of market-based balance sheet optimization activities/ transactions. Transactions may include credit risk transfers, securitizations, forward flow agreements and/or asset sales. The employee will work with various stakeholders to provide the support existing transactions as well as assist in the execution of new transactions. Work with manager and teammates to develop reporting, procedures and processes. Analyze various data sets. Work daily with the BSME Front office to provide support and reporting for various transactions. In addition, provide support for other Middle Office Derivatives team on an ad hoc basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Collaborate with various stakeholders to design and implement necessary systems and processes to monitor and execute various BSME transactions.
+ Provide any ad hoc reporting needed for various transactions
+ Implement any necessary controls
+ Build, enhance, and maintain reporting analysis tools utilizing Power BI, Excel, SQL and Python
+ Support monitoring and ad-hoc reporting requests by internal risk partners (Audit, Compliance, Asset Liability Management)
+ Respond to various inquiries
+ Leverage quantitative and analytical skills and partner with Operations to identify control improvement and process flow
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting, or related field
+ Three to five years of related experience in banking and/or financial services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Familiarity middle office environments, funding and liquidity
+ Knowledge regarding loan structures, derivatives, and securitizations
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills
+ Python, VBA, SQL and other programming skills & experience is a plus
+ Experience designing dashboards and their related data models in Power BI
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ MBA preferred
_The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 to 4 days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days._

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
