We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Tech to join our team!
In this role, you'll provide direct support to individuals in their homes and communities, helping them live meaningful, enriched lives. The Activities Tech is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who supports health, well-being, and skill development while fostering independence and community involvement.
As an Activities Tech, you will: Assist with daily living, safe behaviors, communication, and coping skills. Teach and encourage skill development under the direction of a QIDP. Support individuals in building relationships with family, peers, and the community. Assist the activities coordinator for planning events such as summer parties and holidays. Regularly/Daily driving of wheelchair vans for outings and activities planned. Attend appointments as needed, or assist with pick ups from day programs. 1:1 time with clients and in-house/out of house activities. You can be doing anything from going to church and and the beach, to dinners, concerts and family reunions with the clients we support!
Perform CNA tasks in compliance with the Maine Board of Nursing skill list.

DUTIES:
+ Provide and support individual, group, and community activities.
+ Plan activities in collaboration with the activities coordinator.
+ Supervise individuals during activities, following their Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
+ Serve as a positive role model and encourage independence.
+ Communicate with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
+ Ensure necessary supplies are available for planned activities.
+ Maintain activity-related areas in good order.
+ Provide meaningful feedback, suggestions, and observations to improve programming.
+ Support the development of leisure and recreational skills outlined in each PCP.
+ Professionally represent the organization in all communications with staff, families, and community members.
+ Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and ISP entry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Active CNA certification in good standing on the CNA registry (required).
+ Must complete CDS curriculum within the first six months of employment.
+ Participation in designated in-service and ongoing training as required.
+ Basic computer and word processing skills.
+ Valid Maine driver's license.
+ Previous experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
