    How You Can Make an Impact

    The Estimating Assistant will directly support the Director of Estimating, as well as lend administrative support to the department. To be successful, you will need to prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and follow through on strict project deadlines. This job is for a natural go-getter who is resourceful, thinks independently, anticipates the needs of others, and operates with little direct supervision.

    How You Will Contribute

    + Support the Director of Estimating with data entry to aid in the bid creation process.

    + Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.

    + Assist the Director of Estimating with special projects and initiatives as required.

    + Perform daily administrative tasks to support the overall goals of the estimating department.

    + Organize and schedule meetings, attend on behalf of the director when needed to take notes and record minutes.

    + Provide general support and information by answering questions and requests regarding the estimating department.

    + Organize and book travel arrangements such as hotels, flights, cars, and restaurant reservations.

    + Maintain a polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.

     

    Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

     

    Monitor the estimating email inbox and disseminate emails to the appropriate team members.

    What You Bring to the Table

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.

    + Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong organizational and planning skills.

    + Ability to learn company software, programs, and processes in a timely manner.

    + Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.

    Your Prior Experience

    + Required: High School Diploma or GED

    + Required: Minimum one year of administrative experience, knowledge of estimating and/or construction industry a plus.

    Our Competitive Package

    Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

     

    This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
