Job Summary and Qualifications

+ You will assist with the development, implementation and review of organizational performance improvement plans, quality and infection control initiatives and hospital strategic goals.

+ You will assist with the policies and procedures to support successful quality outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients.

+ You will facilitate process improvement efforts among PI teams, Medical Staff, and hospital departments.

+ You will be responsible for hospital accreditation and regulatory programs and provide education to key hospital staff related to Federal, State and regulatory agencies (such as Joint Commission, CMS, TDH, OSHA, etc.).

+ You will coordinate quality indicator development, data abstraction, retrieval and analysis, and the clinical review screening and referral of cases to Medical Staff Committees for departmental peer review and improvement processes.

+ You will assist Risk Management with the facilitation, investigation and follow up of RCA, Occurrences and Sentinel events.

+ You will be responsible for data abstraction and concurrent review processes and/or inter-rater reliability testing in core measure processes and projects.

+ You will serve as a resource for the department in Quality and PI function, as well as providing routine and standardized data analysis and compiling of reports.

+ In collaboration with the VP, you will objectively review Quality Resources staff performance and PI opportunities for the quality management services delivered by the department.

+ You will assist VP of Quality and organization with project management, teaching, coaching, and facilitating related to performance improvement, regulatory compliance and survey readiness based on the hospital mission, vision and facility goals.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

+ Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.

+ Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.

Experience:

+ Minimum of 5 years’ healthcare experience in quality, patient safety, risk and infection control required.

+ Progressive experience as a manager or director strongly preferred.

+ Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements.

+ Experience and knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and survey methodology, CMS regulations, other Federal and State regulations related to healthcare management, Leapfrog, IHI Initiative and other patient care related organizations.

License/Certifications:

+ Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
