Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Ambulance Driver assists with professional and compassionate care to a variety of patients encountered in a multidisciplinary pre-hospital/hospital setting. Patient population groups include children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, occasionally dealing with multiple patients or population groups simultaneously. The Ambulance Driver is responsible for the safe transfer of patients and staff to a different facility or level of care. The Ambulance Driver completes all documentation in a timely manner as appropriate and demonstrates concise and accurate knowledge of Ambulance (Emergency Vehicle) operations. She/He is responsible for the safety of patients, staff and families.

Job Requirements

Valid Emergency Vehicle Operators License (EVOC)

Current Healthcare Provider AHA BLS certification

Preferred

At least one year of Emergency Vehicle operations experience

Time to reach competency on the job: One year to be effective

Pay Range

$16.42 - $23.19 /hour
