Description
The Fashion Subsidiary Technology team seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Chief Technology Officer. This position is responsible for understanding both team and wider customer priorities for Fashion Subsidiaries (Shopbop & Zappos), responding with appropriate urgency to engage & partner with leaders, and facilitating proactive problem solving. The position requires an interest in understanding how Technology can impact a wide array of customer & internal partner needs. This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated bias for action.
The Executive Assistant II position is responsible for a wide range of critical activities including complex calendar management, tracking key deliverables, coordinating travel and expenses, and organizing team activities and events (such as townhalls meetings and employee engagement activities).
Additional responsibilities include coordinating meeting agendas, space planning, and ad hoc project coordination. The role requires a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism when interacting with senior professionals inside and outside the company. This position provides opportunities to serve as an extension of leadership in partnership with a supportive and collaborative EA community.
In this highly ambiguous environment, the role requires demonstrating initiative, completing tasks and projects quickly, and taking proactive action without having complete information. The position involves learning organizational structures and objectives of supported teams, as well as building a strong internal network. Success in this role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple critical requests while maintaining flexibility and composure under pressure. The position offers opportunities to build professional relationships with leaders and teams, leading to partnerships that provide opportunities for special projects with increased responsibility and long-term career growth.
Key job responsibilities
• Ownership of calendar management for the CTO. Plan, negotiate, and schedule meetings to accommodate managers and others. Use discretion and judgment to determine priority of meetings.
• Manage complex travel arrangements and event planning such as offsites or team celebrations. Complete business expense claims promptly and follow up on reimbursements if necessary.
• Utilize time management and organizational skills to juggle responsibilities and strategize efficiency and priority. Organize and maintain information that may be sensitive, confidential or technical in nature.
• Identify opportunities to improve work processes to leverage own and department's workload.
• Collaborate with other Executive Assistants and business partners on key business events and meetings.
About the team
The Fashion Subsidiary Technology team supports Zappos and Shopbop, Amazon Fashion subsidiary businesses. Our teams work with both Amazon and specialized systems to deliver technology solutions that enhance our business capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
- Experience with executive level calendar management
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
- High school or equivalent diploma

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
