    Opportunity

     

    Northramp is assembling a team of trusted advisors to support our growing Fractional IT Advisory capability. These leaders will deliver flexible, on-demand expertise to federal agencies and the Department of War, helping shape mission outcomes through part-time engagements, targeted initiatives, and extended advisory roles.

     

    Ideal candidates bring proven experience guiding senior technology executives—including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CAIOs, and Director-level leaders—across engineering, development, and modernization efforts. This is a unique opportunity to remain mission-connected while engaging through a fractional advisory model that values your time and amplifies your impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Strategic IT advisory and executive-level guidance across federal and DoD environments

    + Partnership with senior technology leaders to inform decision-making, shape modernization strategies, and develop actionable technology roadmaps

    + Subject-matter leadership in cloud adoption, cybersecurity, zero trust architecture, artificial intelligence, governance, IT budget and finance, and data strategy

    + Advisory support for IT infrastructure, engineering, and development initiatives to promote reliability, resilience, and scalability

    + Design and refinement of governance frameworks aligned with federal and DoD compliance mandates

    + Innovation enablement through evaluation of emerging technologies, piloting new solutions, and measuring return on investment

    + Mentorship and knowledge transfer to strengthen agency leadership and organizational capacity

    Required Qualifications

    + U.S. Citizenship

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (as required by the engagement)

    + Minimum of four (4) consecutive years of senior IT leadership experience at the GS-15, SL, or SES level within the past ten (10) years

    + Proven expertise in one or more of the following domains: federal IT modernization, cybersecurity, data strategy, advanced technology adoption, or digital transformation

    + Demonstrated success advising senior executives and delivering mission-aligned IT strategies

    + Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

    Desired Qualifications

    + Prior experience serving as a federal CIO, CTO, CDO, CAIO, or equivalent senior technology leader

    + Direct involvement in federal modernization initiatives, AI and data programs, or zero trust implementations

    + Advisory or consulting experience supporting federal clients or mission-critical programs.

     

    Clearance

     

    The selected applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, if required.
