Our client, a leader in facility management and maintenance services, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Des Moines, IA

What's the Job?

+ Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and facilities.

+ Perform preventive maintenance and monitor repairs for Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Life Safety systems.

+ Travel between different facilities to ensure optimal functioning of all systems (company vehicle provided)

+ Maintain responsibility for facility services, inventory control, and contracted maintenance oversight.

+ Record readings, calibrate equipment, and make adjustments to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.

What's Needed?

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.

+ 4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

+ Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

+ EPA 608 Type II Certification required; Universal Certification preferred.

+ Valid driver’s license and proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
