**Pay Range:** $40.00 - $80.00 per hour

The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
Job **Summary:** The Assistant/Associate Professor contributes to the teaching, research, and service missions. This role involves instruction at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, student mentorship, participation in scholarly activity, and service to the college and university. In addition, the Assistant Professor-Mgr provides limited managerial oversight to ensure effective supervision of assigned staff and the continuity of program operations. Annual assignments are determined in collaboration with the Department Chair or Program Director and are based on departmental and college needs. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in related field
• 3 years teaching experience in higher education
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, instructional design, and student mentorship.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technologies.
• Ability to engage in scholarly work and contribute to the academic field.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
• Adaptability to evolving academic needs and willingness to participate in college and university service.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree

• Teach assigned courses, including preparation of syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with current educational standards and best practices.
• Advise and mentor students on academic, professional, and career development matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues in program and course coordination, as needed.
• Participate in accreditation, program review, and curriculum development activities.
• Engage in scholarly activity, which may include research, publications, presentations, and/or grant writing.
• Serve on college and university committees and contribute to college-wide initiatives.
• Support student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts as appropriate.
• Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and practice.
• Provide supervisory support for designated staff, including performance feedback, workload guidance, and mentorship.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair or Program Director.
