Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer I for our Marysville, CA, location.

This is an exciting opportunity to launch or advance your engineering career with a company that values innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. As part of Verdantas, you’ll work on impactful projects that contribute to environmental stewardship and community development, while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts. What You'll Do:

+ Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design

+ Design using AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydrology/hydraulics software

+ Prepare permit and construction drawings, calculations, and reports

+ Perform engineering work for solar and natural gas land development projects

+ Conduct site investigations and assess existing conditions

+ Use GPS-enabled data collectors for data analysis and mapping

+ Support feasibility determinations for various infrastructure types

+ Observe construction, document progress, and identify deviations

+ Assist in preparing Contract Documents and managing submittals/RFIs

+ Provide technical support to project managers

+ Perform field sampling, monitoring, and construction oversight

+ Handle administrative duties related to project management

What You Bring:

+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

+ 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering

+ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred

+ EIT Preferred

+ Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred

+ Able to travel for field assignments daily

+ Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines, as needed

+ Must possess a valid driver's license
