Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis, particularly within manufacturing or distribution environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and driving organizational success through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.

• Conduct in-depth cost accounting tasks such as standard costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting.

• Monitor and reconcile inventory across multiple locations, ensuring accurate records and cycle counts.

• Collaborate with operations and supply chain departments to analyze inventory transactions, material usage, and manufacturing variances.

• Develop and maintain cost allocation models and methods for inventory valuation.

• Generate and review financial statements, management reports, and critical performance metrics.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, focusing on production costs, inventory balances, and cost of goods sold.

• Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to regulations.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced accounting staff to foster growth and development.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution industries.

• Proficiency in cost accounting principles and inventory management systems.

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and drive actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

• Capacity to work effectively across departments and locations.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, general ledger management, and reconciliations.
