    Job Title: General Laborer

    Job Description

    The General Laborer plays a crucial role in the production process, starting as a saw helper. This position involves preparing extruded aluminum for the age ovens, ensuring the quality compliance, and meeting customer specifications. The role includes moving large pieces of aluminum, collaborating with the Saw Operator, inspecting for quality defects, scrapping defective material, and transferring materials using a forklift.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare extruded aluminum for age ovens alongside another saw helper.

    + Collaborate with Saw Operator to ensure quality compliance and customer specifications.

    + Inspect materials for quality defects and scrap defective materials.

    + Transfer materials using a forklift.

    + Adhere to all safety requirements and promote safety in the work environment.

    + Review and follow work order instructions and best practice requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in general labor and production environments.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly.

    + Ability to operate a forklift.

    + Ability to lift and work with large industrial equipment.

    + Familiarity with measuring devices and dimensional prints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Capability to work in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience in packaging and packing.

    + Ability to read and understand dimensional prints.

    + Must comply with all policies and procedures in accordance with quality management systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a production setting characterized by noise, moving machinery, forklifts, and temperature fluctuations. Personal Protective Equipment, including ear plugs, safety glasses, and boots, is provided to ensure safety at all times.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coburg, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.65 - $20.65/hr.
