Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator responsible for operating molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines. The role requires rotating across various machines and processes, placing proper inserts on the mold table for forming, and filling and packing boxes with sand in a warm environment. You will utilize hand tools to remove molds and trim flash from parts as per work orders and conduct visual inspections of parts for any flaws or defects. You will also be responsible for stacking and palletizing all products for quality control, lifting up to 100 lbs throughout the day, and occasionally operating a forklift. Quality control and careful machine operation are paramount.

Responsibilities

+ Operate molding, machining, casting, and other manufacturing machines.

+ Rotate across various machines and processes.

+ Place proper inserts on the mold table for forming.

+ Fill and pack boxes with sand, working in a warm environment.

+ Use hand tools to remove molds and trim flash from parts according to work orders.

+ Conduct visual inspections of parts for any flaws or defects.

+ Stack and palletize all products for quality control.

+ Lift up to 100 lbs throughout the course of the day.

+ Occasionally operate a forklift.

+ Maintain quality control with careful machine operation.

Essential Skills

+ At least 12 months of machine operation experience or related.

+ Ability to work independently and process products for casting.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and blueprints.

+ Experience in machine operating, assembly, and production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in general labor, construction, fabrication, concrete, carpentry, and heavy-duty tasks.

+ Skills in material handling and operating skid steers.

Work Environment

Work in an open production environment that can be warm in the summer. Adhere to safety protocols by wearing steel-toed boots and safety glasses. Please note that shorts or cut-off sleeves are not permitted.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
