    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Smart 3D (S3D) Systems Administrator to support the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Hexagon Smart 3D software and associated applications. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of S3D environments across engineering disciplines, while also supporting integration with other SmartPlant tools.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) software and related applications.

    + Administer S3D project environments, model databases, and reference data in line with system architecture.

    + Maintain consistency in naming conventions, project hierarchies, and rules within the Project Management module.

    + Set up and maintain site environments and catalog databases using Oracle or MS SQL.

    + Provide cross-discipline S3D support (Piping, Structural, Equipment, HVAC, Cable Tray).

    + Assist with integration workflows involving SmartPlant Foundation (SPF), Smart Instrumentation (SPI), and Smart Electrical (SPEL).

    + Troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues, reference data errors, and system behavior.

    + Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure access management and compliance.

    + Serve as the technical point of contact for escalated S3D issues and vendor coordination.

    + Maintain detailed logs of issues and resolutions to support continuous improvement.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    + Enforce S3D modeling standards and workflows.

    + Conduct user onboarding, training sessions, and documentation walkthroughs.

    + Maintain and update admin guides and support documentation.

    + Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer.

    + Support customization and maintenance of reference data, symbols, piping specs, and rules.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistency across projects.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred).

    + Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering design systems.

    + At least 5 years of hands-on experience administering Smart 3D (S3D) in a project environment.

    + Strong knowledge of S3D setup, configuration, and project schema management.

    + Familiarity with integration of S3D with other tools like SmartPlant Foundation, Smart P&ID, or AVEVA.

    + Proficiency in database tools (Oracle/MS SQL) and version control practices.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
