Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

Join a dynamic production environment where food products are produced efficiently and safely. You will actively participate in various stages of the production line, including boxing, stacking, loading, unloading, palletizing, and wrapping products. This role involves handling boxes weighing 15-20 pounds, feeding empty glass bottles into machines, and ensuring the smooth flow of production.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and manage production lines, ensuring efficient packaging and stacking of products.

+ Load and unload products into the machines and stack them on pallets.

+ Open boxes of empty glass bottles and feed them into production machines.

+ Palletize boxes at the end of the production line.

+ Maintain cleanliness and adhere to GMP practices throughout the day.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and warehouse environments.

+ Ability to lift and manage boxes weighing 15-20 pounds.

+ Ability to work on your feet for 10-12 hour shifts.

+ Experience in working collaboratively on high-speed production lines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Comfortable working in varying temperatures and around strong food-related smells.

+ Familiarity with safety practices, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

+ Proficiency in working in diverse language environments, with most colleagues speaking Spanish or Haitian Creole.

Work Environment

Work in a bustling food manufacturing setting where the atmosphere varies from cold in winter to warm in summer. You will be stationed near machinery that can emit heat and surrounded by strong scents from food products like garlic and salsa. Shift durations are 10 to 12 hours, requiring prolonged periods of standing. Safety gear including gloves, hair and beard nets, earplugs, and safety glasses is provided, but steel-toed boots must be supplied by employees. Temporary workers wear royal blue shirts, provided upon start. The environment is diverse, with a significant number of colleagues speaking Spanish or Haitian Creole. Facilities include personal lockers, a break room with microwaves, and vending machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
