Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the quality strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems for the company and its supply chain. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, including ISO 9001, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will oversee the Quality Management System and manage audits and nonconformities to enhance product quality and support business goals.
Responsibilities
+ Develop the Management Systems strategy and manage key milestones with clear progress.
+ Ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
+ Contribute to new business initiatives and assess their impact on Quality Management Systems.
+ Manage external registration requirements and maintain communication with certification bodies.
+ Implement procedures described in the Quality Management System and update systems as needed.
+ Ensure systems and procedures meet customer requirements and audits.
+ Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.
+ Train others in quality system procedures and application.
+ Conduct regular internal and process audits of the QMS.
+ Address and verify corrective actions for nonconformities.
+ Hold audit performance meetings and manage the audit nonconformity database.
+ Provide analysis of nonconformities and manage KPIs for departments.
+ Promote high standards and communicate quality matters across all levels.
+ Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
+ Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and overcome obstacles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree in a related field, or five years of manufacturing experience.
+ Quality assurance, quality control, procedure analysis, and process improvement experience.
+ Experience with ISO 9001, internal auditing, and customer-facing roles.
+ Manufacturing and union experience.
+ Root cause analysis skills.
+ Experience in writing and implementing standards, policies, and procedures.
+ Openness to 20% travel to other facilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in a clerical, office setting with standard office equipment. Physical demands include occasional lifting and movement, with protective eyewear and steel-toed boots required in the warehouse. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Travel to facilities in Bristol, Florida, California, and Little Rock, Arkansas is required up to 20% per year.

This is a Contract position based out of Bristol, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
