Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic with over two years of experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various systems on heavy equipment. This role requires expertise in mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose, service, and repair mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment.
+ Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
+ Repair and service track drive sprockets, rails, idler wheels, hand bars, track adjusters, hydraulic systems, reversers, final drives, brake bands, steering clutches, and hydrostatic transmissions.
+ Service, diagnose, repair, and maintain speed tandem drive axles with air or electric shift and hydrostatic driven, heavy-duty multi-axle suspensions.
+ Tune diesel engines, service valves, fuel filters, and turbochargers, and perform pressure checks on fuel filters.
+ Diagnose problems, disassemble units, repair or replace parts, and reassemble units in various systems including cooling, drive, brake, electrical, steering, heating, air conditioning, hydraulic, and air systems.
+ Overhaul engines, replace engines, and rebuild components.
+ Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and organized condition.
+ Assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques.
+ Perform related work as assigned.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
