Job Title: Transmission Analyst

Job Description

The Transmission Analyst position is responsible for closing capital projects in support of substation projects. The role involves updating estimates based on as-built information, researching and resolving variances between actuals and estimates, and providing business reports while maintaining proper documentation. This position requires field visits and may involve occasional overnight travel. The analyst will coordinate efforts among multiple organizations such as Substation Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the capital work order process in adherence to the Transmission Capital Work Order management procedure.

+ Close capital work orders accurately and efficiently.

+ Research and resolve variances between actuals and estimates.

+ Provide detailed business reports and maintain proper documentation.

+ Develop and maintain customer-focused relationships with stakeholders involved in transmission substation projects.

Essential Skills

+ Knowledge of substation materials and equipment.

+ Proficiency in estimating and analysis.

+ Experience with engineering design and drawings.

+ Strong data entry skills, particularly in Excel.

+ Familiarity with change orders and invoicing.

+ Understanding of Transmission Engineering and Design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of Transmission Lines within Engineering or Construction is essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
